Christine Davies practices in the areas of labour law and civil litigation, with an emphasis on disability benefits, human rights, and class actions. Christine articled at SGM and joined the firm after her admission to the Ontario Bar in 2009.
Christine has appeared before labour arbitrators, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunal, Superior Court of Justice, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Christine received her law degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. She was awarded a J.S.D. Tory Fellowship and the Bill Scadding essay prize for her paper on Canadian same-sex marriage litigation, which was published in the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review. In addition, Christine was the Co-Director of the Advocates for Injured Workers legal clinic, providing advice and representation to individuals in workers’ compensation (WSIB) disputes.
Christine is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Advocates Society, and the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers.
