Daniel is a member of SGM's civil litigation group. He joined the firm in 2008 after working as a prosecutor for Ontario's Ministry of the Environment. Prior to that, Daniel practised at a union side labour firm in Ottawa and interned at the Centre for Constitutional Rights in New York.

Daniel attended McGill University, where he received both a bachelor of laws degree and a bachelor of civil law degree.  He subsequently obtained a master of laws degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He also holds a bachelor of arts degree in history from Tufts University, where he graduated magna cum laude. Daniel was called to the Ontario Bar in 2003.

 Daniel is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
