Fiona Campbell practises in the areas of pensions and benefits, human rights, pay equity, Charter litigation and administrative law. She is also involved in complex class action litigation. Fiona practices in the firm’s Ottawa office.
Fiona joined the firm in 2005 as part of SGM’s merger with the Ottawa firm, Engelmann Gottheil. Fiona had been with Engelmann Gottheil since 1999 and before then with the pension and benefits section of a Toronto law firm from 1990. In addition, Fiona worked for 18 months as counsel to the Ontario Human Rights Commission.
Fiona regularly provides advice to pension and benefit plans, employees, trade unions and government organizations and has appeared in proceedings before a variety of administrative tribunals and at all levels of the Ontario and Federal courts. Fiona speaks and writes frequently on a wide variety of subjects relating to pension and benefits, human rights and pay equity.

Fiona received her law degree from Queen’s University in 1987 and has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Alberta. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 1988 and to the Ontario Bar in 1990.
Fiona is a member of various professional organizations including the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers, the County of Carleton Law Association and the International Foundation of Employee Benefits.
