Ethan Poskanzer is SGM's senior research lawyer. His practice focuses on administrative, labour and constitutional law, with an emphasis on issues arising in the health, education and municipal sectors. He also provides advice and assistance in negotiations, litigation and arbitration, government relations and legislative and policy matters. Ethan also advises non-profit corporations and unincorporated associations.

Ethan obtained his law degree from the University of Toronto Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1979. He also has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Toronto.

Ethan is SGM’s resident master sommelier and the inspiration for Poskanzer’s Links. He is the co-author of Contract Clauses and Labour Law Terms: A Dictionary of Canadian Labour Law and is a member of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers and the Canadian Bar Association.
